Look Closer

From a distance it can look confusing or look like something it’s not.

Get up closer and it gets more clear

And more interesting.

Not everything in an artwork should stand out equally.

It’s more engaging to have some more subtler elements.

Viewers will make certain assumptions when they first approach an artwork.

But then, when a viewer moves in for a closer look and discovers a detail they hadn’t noticed before, they can experience a pleasant surprise.

After all, one of the purposes of art is to visually entertain.
