Clarity is about the search for what is real. The double thunderbolt metal charm from Bhutan that is attached has several meanings in Buddhism. One of them is to destroy ignorance and drive toward the truth. The image of the embroidery is screened on with fabric paints and varies in transparency to show that the truth comes into and out of focus. To further support that idea, I added handstitches mimicking the shapes on the embroidery lessening the density of stitches as you look left to right. To finish it, I added straight stitches in two values along the borders and fused it to a felt backing.

I used double sided tape and stitches to secure the artwork to a white mat board on a foam board and then framed it in a wooden, champagne silver frame. The back is taped with framing tape and hanging wire is attached. It is ready to hang.
